19 Years of LMHDesigns: A Creative Journey from Inspiration to Evolution

Nearly two decades ago, long before social media ruled the internet, I started sharing ideas on LiveJournal. Back then, it was a place to ramble — to write about life, inspiration, and whatever creative spark came to mind.

What most people don’t know is that LMHDesigns actually began during that time — not as a full-fledged studio, but as a deeply personal project. I had just completed a 165-pound weight loss journey through Nutrisystem and realized there wasn’t much out there to celebrate that kind of success. So, I started designing my own shirts and products — small ways to say, “You did it!”

Those early designs weren’t fancy, but they were empowering. And more importantly, they lit a creative spark that never went out.

From Personal Project to Creative Studio

As my focus shifted from weight loss to self-expression, LMHDesigns grew with me. My first online store, LMHDesigns-Too, was born out of a simple idea: that creativity can celebrate life, liberty, and the pursuit of you.

By 2009, I had rebranded and expanded into digital art, theatre posters, and print-on-demand design. What started as a personal outlet became a creative studio — one that now spans multiple collections, themes, and audiences.

The LMHDesigns Family Today

Today, LMHDesigns is a parent brand for several distinctive creative lines, each with its own focus and personality:

👻 Ghost Hunt — hauntingly beautiful artwork and storytelling inspired by vintage ghosts and forgotten places (part of the "Haunt Your Home" store)

🧔‍♂️ Nude Dude T-Shirts — cheeky, flirty designs celebrating body confidence and humor, inspired one night by conversations with some clothing-optional enthusiast buddies.

🐻 Bare Bear Necessities — apparel, décor, and accessories designed for the gay bear community, blending humor, pride, and style across every season.

And of course, the main LMHDesigns brand continues to offer art and designs for every season and mood — from holiday collections to retro-inspired humor and current-event commentary.

Looking Ahead

Nineteen years later, I’m still designing, still storytelling, and still fueled by that same creative spark that started on LiveJournal.

This blog will now serve as a home for updates on new collections, design stories, and reflections on the creative process — a modern continuation of the journey that began with a few ideas, a little determination, and a lot of heart.

Here’s to what’s next! ✨
